Who this information is for
If you are a consumer (an individual acting for purposes outside your trade, business, or profession), you may have mandatory rights under the law that applies to you — for example, if you are in Norway or another EEA country. Business customers and others not entitled to consumer protection may not have the same rights.
Statutory 14-day withdrawal right
Under applicable Norwegian and EEA consumer rules, consumers may have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for certain distance contracts. Whether that right applies to your EDGE subscription, and how it interacts with an ongoing digital service, depends on your circumstances and mandatory law.
For service agreements, the withdrawal period generally runs from the conclusion of the agreement (for example, when you complete subscription checkout), unless applicable law provides otherwise.
We do not claim that every EDGE customer has a 14-day withdrawal right, and we do not ask you to waive withdrawal rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.
EDGE is an ongoing digital service
EDGE is provided as an ongoing digital service (SaaS) — a subscription to online software — not as a one-time purchase or download of digital content. How withdrawal rules apply to ongoing digital services can differ from rules for one-off digital downloads.
The 7-day free trial is separate
EDGE may offer a commercial 7-day free trial for new Premium subscribers. That trial is an offer made by EDGE and is separate from any statutory withdrawal or cooling-off rights that may apply to you. The trial does not replace, shorten, or limit applicable statutory withdrawal rights.
Cancelling a subscription or trial through EDGE Settings or the Stripe Customer Portal stops future billing according to your subscription terms. That is not the same as exercising a statutory withdrawal right, although both may be relevant depending on your situation.
How to exercise an applicable withdrawal right
If you believe a statutory withdrawal right applies to you, send a clear and unambiguous withdrawal request to:
Include enough information for us to identify your account and subscription (for example, the email address used for EDGE and the date of checkout). We will review and handle valid requests in accordance with applicable mandatory consumer law.
If commercial terms conflict with mandatory law
EDGE’s subscription, cancellation, and refund terms are described in our Terms of Service. If anything in those commercial terms conflicts with mandatory consumer rights that apply to you, mandatory law prevails.
